Works well for small items and documents. Setup is fairly simple. The safe is well made and finished nicely. Overall I am pleased with the results.

I've put off reviewing this for the longest time because the safe ended up being too small for the things I wanted to store. I was hoping to store files in it, but it's too small for paper. I will probably use it now to hide electronic devices from my kids! Because it was too small for what I wanted, I never got around to setting up the biometric scanner/fingerprint reader, so I cannot speak to the effectiveness of that feature. However, the key works just fine, and I can take that with me when I leave the house. That feels more secure to me, anyway. It's made well and built with nice materials, but anyone could pick this up and take it with them, so it's not secure in that sense. That said, it's great for storing smaller things you don't want little ones to get into.

The 0.8 cubic feet small safe by DAY1 is a good overall value. While I don’t care for the electronic features, the two keys that are included with the safe are excellent to open the safe. This safe is small, so if you’re trying to fit any letter sized documents in it, you will have to bend them to get inside. The middle self is not removable, and the safe comes with some tools to help anchor it on a wall if you prefer. Also, a USB cable is included to charge the battery if you use the electronic features of this safe. Thankfully no Wi-Fi, so you don’t have to worry about any more IoT devices in your home or business. I would recommend this to a friend.

This safe comes with instructions, fireproof bag, removable shelf, mounting hardware, back up battery entry and 2 keys. This does require 4 AAA batteries to set up, that are not included. Fairly easy to set up, although the instructions aren't perfect. First you open the hidden keyhole cover by pressing on it and then you insert the key, to open for the first time. You can only set one 3-8 digit code, but up to 25 fingerprints.We are mainly storing important documents, passports, etc in additional fire proof document bags. The door and bolts seem very heavy duty on this little safe. I like that we can mount this safe to the wall or tuck it away, out of sight.

This is not a high security safe. It's a basic safe that keeps honest people honest. If someone wants into this, they could break into it fairly easily. If they have any skills at lock picking, they could get into this fairly quickly. It's not meant for security, but just to keep your stuff secure from people just picking it up.That said, it works just fine. It's a decent safe if you set your expectations properly. It's basically what you'd find in a mid-range hotel.Works as it should and if you get it for the right price, it's a good buy.

BOTTOM LINE:1. I recommend this DAYI-Biometric Fingerprint Safe Box-0.8 Cubic Feet - DF-25.2. The current price of ~$130 is too high.LIKES:- Ability to use an emergency power supply. Huge benefit and time saver when batteries die.- Fingerprint access which give rapid entry, as long as there are no issues reading a finger.- Allows for wall mounting. Adds a decent layer of security.DISLIKES:- Not fire resistant. Fire resistant bag is a nice touch, but it won't prevent loss for long in a fire.

I set the finger print and code and this machine will open for anyone’s finger print or code. It is absolutely useless and it is past the return date so I am throwing the whole safe away. It does not serve a purpose if anyone can open it at any time
