Very disappointing!This frame came through amazon from Jerry's Artarama.com, where I usually order my paint supplies.I ordered it through Amazon because Jerry was only selling packs of 4. Boy, am I glad I did'nt get stuck with 4 of these!!!This frame looks very cheap and I would not even want it at half of this price!The floating concept is good but poorly executed. It is not made out of wood but of some manmade plastic material and the corners were not even close to look decent (see pictures)! The gold face was nicked and bubbled in several places.I had no other choice because of a deadline but I was very unhappy having to use this frame for an art show...

These frames are some cheap material that turns to something akin to chalk dust when you screw the brackets into place. The paint job was pitiful and they generally feel unstable and poorly made. My painting does fit properly into the frame but was difficult to center since the opening is actually slightly larger than the painting going in it. I have nothing good to say about these frames and I will make sure all frames I purchase in the future are clearly wood construction.

I was really disappointed in this product. It looked like it have been used. A lot of the gold color was scratched off and because I had a time issue I just went ahead and re-applied gold leaf color to the frame. I definitely would not recommend this frame.

What can I say here... it's a frame that you can mount your painting into. It does that, and does it pretty well.It's clearly not a very nicely made frame (cheap wood, spraypaint), but it's also a very good price point for what you're getting, of which you probably now realize there are few options around.I bought the brown with gold trim - I wouldn't buy that again, the gold is too cheap looking. But, I would buy a natural or maybe white frame. The float looks nice, so I think a less flashy version of this would all around look pretty awesome for the money.Installation was a little bit of work, but nothing too difficult. The instructions weren't 100% clear in terms of which direction to screw the mounting brackets in (i.e. which side goes to the frame vs. the painting), but at the end of the day I don't think it really mattered. Pick the one that seems to you to be most logical, and I'm sure you'll be fine!
