I ordered this single serve coffee maker to use in a guest area where our parents and in-laws stay when they visit. They often want to make just one cup, and this is a great solution. We have owned other single-cup makers, including an expensive brand name, and I would say it works just as well or better. First of all, they are all noisy, and you want them to not start instantly, but to prime the pump and heat the water so your coffee comes out hot. You can speed this up by adding hot water from the start. This coffee maker gives you the enjoyable option of using your own coffee or a standard coffee pod/cup. Either way works well, so that's convenient allowing you flexibility, especially if you have a favorite coffee you prefer or no capsules/Kcups on hand. It's simple for anyone to figure out how to use. Just dump in the equivalent water from the cup you will be filling, then press one start button, and place your cup under the dispenser. It fits all standard sizes of coffee cups. So far so good with no issues.
