I got these speakers to use when my laptop lid is closed and using an external monitor. They are adequate at best, but fair for the price. At modest volume the sound is pleasant enough - clear, but a bit tinny without much bass. Like a cheap radio from the 60s. At higher volumes, distortion quickly kicks in. The are quite small, which is good for my space. Good enough for the size and price.Keep in mind that these require both a USB A port for power and an audio jack. They came with a USB A to USB C adapter - a nice bonus. The permanently attached cables are adequate, but not very long. There is no on/off switch or volume control. Very basic, but functional.

These speakers are a really good value for the money, but if you take the money part out of it, they're pretty disappointing. The speakers are pretty small, each about the size on an apple, so they shouldn't crowd your desk. They have a connection to a 3.5 mm jack for audio and USB-A for power. These two are pretty close together, which could be annoying if you don't have the jack and the USB port really close together where you plug this in. There's also a USB-A female to USB-C male adapter, in case you want to power it with USB-C instead, which I did with my phone. The USB part of the cable cannot be used for the audio itself. I tried and it didn't work. I was hoping that these speakers could be phone speakers for better quality audio than the phone's internal speakers, but it didn't work that way. First, the connectors for both USB-C and 3.5 mm have pretty wide plastic near the spot where you make the connection, which makes them difficult to plug in for both audio signal and power. Desktop computers tend to have pretty clear ports for both of these, which make it a non-issue if you use the speakers this way. However, the sound quality coming from the speakers is also pretty bad. If you're listening to talk, you can make out what all the words are. But if you're listening to music, the quality is pretty noticeable and it sounds garbled. If you're having trouble getting the 3.5 mm jack to fit in, it also gets really scratch in the sound. But in the computer, that doesn't happen and it's just that it sounds like you're listening to a 64 Kbps (FM radio quality) MP3 file when you're actually listening to something with better sound quality. Ultimately, I think it does accomplish doing the job, and does so for cheap, but you sort of get what you paid for.

I wasn’t expecting much for the price, but these little speakers from HPSWUW genuinely impressed me. Setup was a breeze—true plug and play with the USB and 3.5mm aux cables, no drivers or fuss. The stereo sound is crisp and balanced, perfect for casual gaming, music, or videos. Volume gets surprisingly loud without distorting, which is rare in speakers this compact.I love that they’re compatible with a wide range of devices—I’ve used them with my desktop, tablet, and even my phone, thanks to the handy USB-C adapter included in the box. The design is minimal but effective; they sit unobtrusively next to my monitor and blend right into my setup. For under $10, you're getting great sound, reliable performance, and excellent compatibility. The 30-day refund policy and 18-month warranty are a nice bonus. If you're looking for budget-friendly desktop speakers that punch above their weight, this set is an easy recommendation.

For the low asking price, these are fine. They're very minimalist, without even a fabric cover. The sound quality is acceptable. Considering they are priced VERY cheap, they'll at least be an improvement over the embedded speakers in a laptop, or something similarly anemic.Note that these are not "USB speakers" as you may think of them; they use USB for power only, so you MUST use a 3.5mm Headphone or Line Out jack to feed them audio. Similarly, it REQUIRES that USB be plugged in. I even tried an amplifier, and they still did nothing without power. It's hard to really hold much against them as a bottom-budget option, but I feel like there are some other design choices that could be improved upon. None of them major, or deal-breakers, but are worth considering:The individual speakers are not marked L or R. You have to figure out which is which by trial and error. There is no power filtering to speak of. You will always have some amount of noise whenever they're plugged into USB, regardless of how quiet your sound is. Fortunately, the system I intended for this uses a dock with good EMI filtering, so the noise is almost inaudible, but I tried it directly on an older laptop and it was noticeable at all times (and got worse if I used a hub.)

I was excited to add speakers to my laptop for a better surround sound setup, but these computer speakers unfortunately fell short. While the setup was easy and the compact size is great for a small desk, the sound is muffled and not very loud - so playing music on these isn't great either.I was hoping for clearer audio and a richer sound experience. Wish the sound quality matched the convenience of the design.

These are inexpensive speakers, so if you're looking for an audiophile's dream sound system, you'll be disappointed. If however, you're looking for some decent speakers to sit next to your monitor on your desktop, these will fit the bill nicely! They sound clear with decent midrange and treble. With such small size, bass is minimal, but the overall sound is good. Plug into any USB port for power (USB-A or USB-C with included adapter), and then just plug into the speaker-out jack on your computer (or other audio device). You can adjust the volume on your computer, or it has an in-line volume switch on the speaker cable. For the price, I was pleasantly surprised!
