I started my side mount with the Hollis K1 and it was a great BCD but seems to lack a lot of ability to customize it so I started to do my research on BCDs and landed on the XDeep Stealth 2 and the Dive Rite Nomad. After reading a lot of reviews and watching a lot of YouTube video reviews and opinions, I ended up going with XDeep and absolutely love it and dive with it all the time. Lakes, river, quarries, its my go to BCD.My BCD in particular: Since I do a number of wreck dives, deep, in a wet suit, my shop always emphasized the potential issues if my BCD fails, not having an emergency potential buoyancy assistance with a dry suit, so choosing the XDeep with the redundant bladder was the best choice for me. Mounting the second inflator hose was a little weird but I found a couple ideas on YouTube from sidemounting.com and it's been really comfortable and intuitive. I love that I could pick my favorite colors for both the BCD and the expandable cargo pouch / butt bag to make the BCD a little more personal to me.Whereas the Hollis K1 was a little more ready to go out of the bag, the Stealth needed to be set up and, even though I was a novice, it only took an evening to get it all adjusted, the bungees added, and the attachments configured for my diving style and needs.Underwater it feels amazing and clean. My tanks sit perfectly to me and its super comfortable. Having the dual bladders allows me to alternate putting air into the BCD to get my buoyancy correct and spread the air around the full BCD to keep it streamline. Having the security of a backup bladder feels better incase there ever was a main failure. and it uses the same inflator hose that I used for my dry suit which does raise some future configuration issues in which I will will have to add a LP splitter to be able to both inflate the redundant bladder and my dry suit but that will be easy enough to do.Overall I have about 25 dives with this BCD and I love it to death. Highly highly recommend.
