If you like the temperature of your drink nearly too hot, the 180° temperature setting keeps your drink nearly hot as the pot rather than just warm.

This is the 2nd Coffee Cup Warmer I have ordered. I loved mine so much that I had to order one for my Mother-in-law, since she is an avid lover coffee and tea, like myself. It's quite reasonably priced. I ordered the black ones each time, they look high dollar. I love that I can set the temperature to 180 degrees for up to 12 hours. Many of the other Warmers that I looked at would not go near as high. The functionality is easy as pie. It's easy to clean, if you get a spill just wait for it to cool down and wipe it with a warm paper towel or warm rag. The size of the heating pad is ideal, all of my coffee cups fit on it. So nice to not have to go the microwave and warm your drink every 30 minutes.

Grandpa just turned 84 years old and what do you buy someone at this age who has everything?? He did have a dilemma however. His coffee gets cold, and he then heats it up in the microwave. he also has an electric heater on the wall in his little suite and if he uses the microwave and the heater at the same time it blows a fuse. Sometimes, I am not home when he forgets to turn off the heater before he warms his coffee. The fuse box is way down in the basement and I do not permit him to go down the stairs. So his whole room can be without power while I am at the grocery store. I seen at Christmas time similar ideas that included the coffee cup . The coffee cup was unfortunately METAL.. you see where I am going with this. What if Grandpa forgets and puts the metal cup in the microwave?? That was a no. So I found this, because he already has his two favorite coffee mugs anyway.. I wasn't sure he would like it. After a week or so I asked him how he liked it and he got ALL EXCITED, His eyes got REAL BIG and he said "OH boy, THIS IS IDEAL"!!! He proceeded to tell me how he can turn it on and set it for how long it should be on and how warm to keep his coffee, he no longer feels like he has to slug his coffee down in a hurry because NOW its always the PERFECT temperature. NO more blown fuses, NO more getting the coffee too hot in the microwave and worrying he is going to spill it and burn his hands or too hot and burn his mouth.. THIS IS IDEAL!!

I love this! It’s a game changer because I don’t drink it fast enough at work so it keeps my coffee or tea nice and hot and I can set the temp and amount of time to use it. Love it!

Keeps my drink hot until I can finish it! Has a timer that can be set for one to 12 hours. Temperature setting goes from 120 degrees to 180 degrees.

So it’s a nice product, I love that it has a timer and it feels safe. The plastic part of the warmer that is not supposed to heat up doesn’t get hot at all even when on the highest setting. However, I tested it with a mug full of water at multiple different temperatures for one hour each. Unless you like barely warm coffee or tea you’ll want to use it on the highest settings. Even when used on the highest settings for over an hour, it was only 110° using a surface Laser thermometer. So I think if you made fresh tea or Coffee and then used this to keep it warm for like an hour or two and you immediately put it on the high setting. It would do a really good job. I initially started with the lowest temperature. Keep in mind that some mugs are going to be too big. The first mug I grabbed, which is one of my favorites is admittedly, oversized, and measures 4 inches in diameter from the outside rim to outside rim. This did not fit on the warming plate. The warming plate is three and three-quarter inches in diameter.Finally, the reason for the four star and not five is that I’m not sure what the temperature settings are supposed to mean. Let me explain, I used my laser thermometer to measure the surface temperature of the heating element that touches the mug, and it consistently measured higher than the temperature setting claimed to be at. The liquid was also not the same temperature as the Setting. So well, measuring higher is better than measuring too low. Something isn’t fully accurate or my thermometer is off. I will say I have not noticed my thermometer being off however anything is possible.I still think it’s a good product and will still use it I will just be using it on the highest temperature and with mugs that actually fit.
