Our Ceramic Grill Tiles are the perfect addition for grilling enthusiasts and casual chefs alike. When grilling chicken, sausage, or similar fare on a gas barbecue, flare-ups can blacken even the most carefully attended food. The solution is in our special cordierite ceramic that distributes heat uniformly, yet maximizes heat transfer. Our tiles are long-lasting and can be cleaned simply by flipping and burning the residue right off. Lava rocks and other ceramic-based briquettes eventually become old and saturated with drippings, requiring regular replacements. I had just one broken tile, and that was what I needed. I laid out the tiles starting tight against the right side. When I reach the left side, I needed two half-width tiles. I had two full tiles and tile broken in 1/4 - 3/4 pieces. I placed the 1/4 sized piece and balanced two full pieces over to fill the gap. The photo shows the bridge piece in place, ready for the last two pieces to be placed over it.

I've been through metal baffles, lava rocks, ceramic pyramids and thin ceramic tiles. These tiles are the best flame defuser/heat sink I've ever grilled over. They hold heat so well that after the initial heating and searing I can turn the burners to low and cook a full grill of trimmed pork steaks with no flair ups at all. They take a little longer to heat up but that's to be expected. I can't wait to roast a turkey over them.

These grill tiles are great! Contrary to other reviewers problems with broken tiles in shipment, I had no such problem. The tiles arrives carefully packed in boxes that had foam slots so the tiles did not touch each other and didn't touch the cardboard box. Very nice packing arrangement. No way they could be damaged without there being very obvious damage to the box.My old Emberglow stainless grill has been in service for better than 15 years but the ceramic bricks that buffered the grate from the burners had long since disintegrated. I replaced the original bricks with lava rocks but was never again satisfied with the way the heat distributed until I ordered and installed these tiles. Now my grill works better than when it was new, and I couldn't be happier. I cannot believe how evenly these distribute the heat.I would recommend these tiles to anyone that has a need to replace their original rocks or tiles.

I bought these for my friend, as a present to replace the ceramic tiles in his current grill. These were far less expensive that the authentic replacement tiles - and now I know why. Some of the tiles were broken in the box. They are thinner than I would expect, and as such, some have already begun to break down. But, they lasted him around a year. I would say a good expectancy for the price that I paid.These tiles were great for an emergency replacement, at an affordable price (reason why I wouldn't give them two stars).These tiles were too fragile and broke easily (reason why I wouldn't give them four stars).

Wish I hadn't wasted my hard earned money on these worthless things. First 5 of the 15 were broken when delivered, didn't bother with the hassle of shipping back to replace them. Used them broken, filled the area and preheated, didn't leave the 1" suggested spacing and thankfully I didn't because even with the lowest flame setting my giill top was aflame by the time I was close to finishing. Had I left the spacing I would have had a full blown fire. Usually use a spray bottle but was a little to optimistic, the only reason I would buy more would be to add another layer. They are very thin, which they described in the discretion. Will probably add something else to them
