Replaces an old Dometic awning center support slider with this much smaller part. Works like a champ and allowed me to get a little extra free space under the awning. Looks great!

I installed this as my 18' awning was sagging a little in the middle and bouncing on rough roads. This is easy to install but be advised they do NOT mention that you will need a rivet gun to attach the backing plate to the side of the RV. Lucky I had one with four sizes of nipples as the rivets used are the larger diameter ones. Other than that the install was straight forward, just don't push up too hard on the test fit to mark the drill holes. And use a bit stop or mark the bit with tape as you only need to drill thru the sidewall. This will stop any awning sag or bounce you might have and give the awning a good center support without hindering its movement.

Easily added to our RV. We installed a new awning earlier this year and noticed it was sagging in the middle. This easily cured the problem and was simple to install.
