Salvatore Capezio was born in 1871 in Muro Lucano, Italy. Uninterested in following in his father's footsteps as a construction engineer, he became an artist of his own right, a cobbler. In 1887, at the age of 17, he opened his shop on Broadway and 39th Street, diagonally across from the old Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. Soon, the shop became a meeting place for dancers who would stop by to discuss their needs and to get a pair of his shoes. As Capezio's popularity grew, dancers from around the world made it a point to visit him and purchase his shoes.  The innovation of the products that Salvatore Capezio created and the camaraderie he shared with the dancers molded the direction that his company would follow. In this image, the Capezio brand was established to promote and recognize ongoing achievements and participation in dance.  Capezio products remain in the forefront in quality and in technological advances with innovations like the split-sole, the stretch-insert, the Dansneaker and the Tapsneaker. Capezio believes that their success is dependent upon the individual commitment of each customer to continually set new standards of creativity and performance, while preserving a reputation for dependability and distinction. Capezio pledges their support and dedication to the advancement of dance, theater and recreation in communities worldwide.

Capezio K360 single stack are not what I expected. The extra wide width is not wide at all. They feel tight in the toe box and hurt my feet. The single stack K360 feel thin and stiffer than expected. They are not comfy whatsoever. They are light weight so you would need to put a little more power to get a decent sound. There is no arch support. Over all I don't think this shoe is a good value for the cost, unfortunately.

Ok! First of all, the shoes size is super small than the size it shows. Second, the seller doesn’t pay the package fee. The UPS charged me otherwise there is packing or just a plastic bag at all. I paid 15 dollars for the package and got nothing!!!

Love the beautiful aroma of leather floating around the room after the box is opened. These are fit for even the pickiest shoe critic and worth every penny!

The best tap shoes. I'm a french tap teacher and thanks to amazon.com, I purchased professional tap shoes, that I used to buy an amazing price (250 $), for a very small price. The delivery was very fast and the product perfect. As I have a very good cobbler for the build up, I have now professional tap shoes for half price. Thank you amazon.com, I will be a returned customer.P.S. for capezio tap shoes, you have to know your perfect size before ordering.

This is the first time that I've received something from Amazon that I was disappointed with the quality. The left tap shoe was not made well and a little gappy. I sent the shoes back and tried a narrow. The narrow was too tight. I sent those back and reordered the medium and to my surprise, received the same pair of shoes that I sent back the first time. Wow! Too late to send them back again. She needed to get them build up and broken in for competition. Suffice it to say, I won't order tap shoes from Amazon again. Nor will I recommend Amazon for dance shoes. Very disappointed.
