Cable Matters USB C to 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter with 100W Charging (2.5g Ethernet to USB C Adapter)Lasted 3 month. Very disappointed.I paid around $33 US which is about $10 more than some other brands I’ve tried except for the highly rated Belkin that only lasted 5 months and cost more.Expect to get about 3 months out of it.Still searching for a decent one.

I'm thinking of returning as the usbc PD port has no data pins connected, it is literally power only. My power comes with data, so it makes the pass through useless. I will probably return. This is a costly premium adapter which costs more than others for the pass through, but hey are saving a few pennies by not wiring through all the pins. To me it makes it a bad value.Edit: bumped the stars as they don’t false for advertise, and I had an issue and support was responsive

Product works with Windows laptop running Windows 11, but I intended for this to get a better connection on my Chromecast with Google TV. Chromecast does not detect this device, even with an external power supply plugged in.

I bought this to check on my providers speeds actual vs potential. Works great but I am only getting a hair under 1 gig on a 2 gig plan. Not sure if this adapter or my in house router is limiting me.

Tested with USB3.2 Gen 2 on a Windows 11 laptop and Thunderbolt 4 Macbook Pro. Both worked well, getting the full 2.5Gbps connection and at least 60W of charging (I did not try it with a 100W charger, but I have no reason to suspect it wouldn't support that).I don't know if the USB-C Power Delivery port can be daisy chained to another adapter and still provide a data connection. I did not test that.

Working flawlessly out of the box.Even tough the plastic casing it's pretty decent, it could be a little bit more sturdy or, even better, aluminum, to help with heat dissipation which I think it might be an issue when working at high speeds for longer periods of time.Other than that, the performance is great and supports 2.5Gbps connection plus charging when the "official' Belkin adapter sold by apple only gets to 1Gbps and doesn't have charging capabilities.Recommended.

Lenovo 2 in 1 Yoga laptop has no hard wired network access slot so this works well. Plug it in, connect to network and go! Can charge simultaneously. The yoga has wifi that works well, just wanted the hardwired connection for faster downloads/updates.

Did not work on my Android phone (ver 12 and separate 13 phone), wife's Iphone 15, or my windows laptop. I also tried this to connect a Verizon Mifi to a router. I was not expecting the mifi to work, but the others were in the description as something that should have. Returned it.

I have both the Cable Matters 1 gigabit to USB-C (purchased a few years ago) and this 2.5g adapter.Testing a direct CAT6 cabled connection to a new wireless router gives the following:TCL Tab Pro 5g tablet running Android 111gb adapter = pass, internet access2.5gb adapter = fail, doesn't recognize as ethernet, except strangely the tablet wants to charge the adapter and all the adapter lights come on. Huh?Samsung A42 phone running Android 131gb adapter = pass, internet access2.5gb adapter = fail, doesn't recognize it's plugged in. Adapter lights may be illuminated but I didn't check.Samsung S23+ phone running Android 141gb adapter = pass, internet access2.5gb adapter = pass, internet access, no software needed, plug and play.As for the USB-C Power Delivery (PD) port, I didn't plug in or try to power anything, as if my tablet really could. There is NO power port so everything is line powered. As for the included manual, wonderful for learning new languages but absolutely has nothing but warnings, no tech data, no tech help, but you learn warnings in a new language so it's not all bad. Lol.I'm happy with it, it works so.....Hope this helps someone make the right decision.
