I got this because I have an old aluminum paint pole that the plastic threaded tip broke on. I kept it for other uses but when this came up I nabbed it! However, don't make the mistake I did and force the end on if it's too tight. I whacked mine with a rubber mallet and it cracked on the side. That's my fault - though I will say, despite the crack it's still VERY sturdy and strong!Note that this is two sizes - not one size. The large was too big for my pole and the small was just a hair too small for my aluminum pole. If it's too tight, figure out a way to sand it down and make it fit snug, but not where you have to pound it on with a hammer like I did. Comes with bolts so you can drill a hole and secure it in place, too.

Excellent way to rescue a broken extension handle for painting or making a new one from a dowel. Easy to do and you'll have one customized to the length you want. Good quality item.
