Good selection of wire in varying thicknesses. I am brand new to plant-shaping so I cannot compare it to other brands, but it seems to do what it was made for just fine. The wire is a strange color, but looks just like the listing photos. I like the wire cutters they included, they may not be the sharpest, but they are heavy enough to do the job and will stay in my toolbox for a long time.

I have both Japanese maples and dogwoods in both bonsai and large standard pots, and some have unruly branches or require shaping to achieve a more ideal form. This Bonsai Training Wire Kit is ideal for both bonsai work and for stabilizing larger limbs on my potted trees. By gradually adjusting the wire, plants can be guided to grow in more pleasing directions. This arrived as promised and has been extremely useful. I recommend trying this kit!

Excellent range of thicknesses and incredibly easy to work with wire for whatever needs you might have! The larger gauges do great for shaping and temporary training while the smaller gauges give me a lot of options for tying off or temporary support.

I was medically retired from the military and picked up gardening as a therapeutic practice. My Japanese maples cannot be bent yet until spring plus they are covered. I previously bought some identical wire at double the cost. So when u found this, I was really excited. The pliers are meh, but you are here for wire.

Bottom line - would order againI am a beginner when it comes to bonsai. I have had a couple trees for a few years, but haven't been that good at training them...basically using garden ties and soft copper wiring I had lying around the house. I have thought for a while I should order the proper supplies and when I saw this set I finally bit the bullet.When it arrived I noticed it came with a nice variety of wire guages and a decent amount of length of each. The cutters work effortlessly to snip off lengths of wire.I reviewed a few online videos and was set to start...after selecting the proper wire, it was really easy to wrap and bend the branches to the desired orientation. I look forward to finally training my trees the correct way.Overall very happy with this set and would highly recommend. Seems like a fair price for the amount and variety of wire along with the fact it comes with a good wire cutter.

Really nice quality wire and clippers for a first-time bonsai owner. It will be very helpful for my purposes of molding my jade bonsai tree. I prefer the brown color because it blends in with the branches.

This bonsai wiring kit provides all the essential beginner supplies - assorted coil diameters, decent cutters, instructions. Now I can practice shaping techniques on plants while learning proper wire usage. It is a great beginner set.

The Bonsai Wire is very useful for Bonsai training some of our plants. The Wire Kit includes 164 Feet of Anodized Aluminum. It is easy to bend for anchoring plants in a Bonsai pot. It is also great for bending branches of our 2 juniper plants to give them a wind swept look.We have also used the wire to shape lemon trees and pepper plants. Wire cutters are included that afford light trimming and coarse cutting of the wire. The wire comes with 4 sizes included (1.0/1.5/2.0/3.0 mm). Great garden products by Yncotte.
