I'm giving the Elxovnt Bolt Extractor Set three stars. On the positive side, these extractors appear to be of solid construction and have a satisfying weight to them, which gives me confidence in their durability. They feel like they could handle some tough jobs, and they do function as they should, effectively removing stripped bolts.However, there are a couple of significant drawbacks. The most frustrating issue is that the size markings on the extractors themselves are incredibly difficult to see. This makes it a real hassle to quickly identify the correct size you need, especially in a dimly lit workspace. Additionally, the case that the set comes in doesn't close properly, which is a major inconvenience for storage and portability. It would be much better if the case securely held the tools in place.Overall, while the extractors themselves seem well-made and perform their intended function, the issues with visibility of markings and the poor case design keep this from being a higher-rated product.

I have not exclusively tested this product yet. This is one of those items you don't think you need until you need it. I have used a product similar and they work wonders if you can get it to catch the Nut or Bolt and it beats having to drill through the bolt.For the product it self. Comes in a heavy duty plastic case with "ELXOVNT" sticker applied to front. Inside you will find extractors ranging in size from 1/4 to 3/4, 13 total. They provide a a socket adapter that you can run with any drill or impact that allows for a 3/8 hex. Material and construction is great. Great find and a must have for the garage.

being a mechanic for over 30+ years, I always wound up borrowing my buddies kit to get bolts and screws out when they snapped. Well sad to say he is no longer around and now I have to get my own when something bad happens. I am glad I happened to see this kit, and the price is very nice for these many pieces. Can't wait to bust a bolt off to try it out. lol, jk. Now I will have something of my own to use.. Great deal on this kit.Will post update when I get to use it.

They work but, my set was missing the 1/2" extractor. Which isn't a big deal because 13mm is close. The picture shows it being in the set and there is a missing spot in my case, but if you count the pieces technically it's 14? They are also different heights and thickness which makes no sense. I just like all my stuff to be in order and this set is crazy.

Got this for my husband. He has had several times that I have heard him grumping about trying to get stripped bolts or screws out of things. He said this seems to be good quality and will definetly be helpful to have. It comes in a nice plastic box that closes securely. He has not had to use it yet but is happy to have this set.

Upon initial inspection, this nut and bolt remover kit is a solid buy. It is of the quality you would see from say a Harbor Frieght or Walmart tool aisle - good, but not great. It states it is made of 4130 (Cro-Mo) steel which theoretically should make these tough and durable. Looking at these, they will get the job done and in my mind, they put some thought into how they set up this kit.The set has three ways of marking the size of each bolt extractor -- 1) a highly visible size guide under the cover (see picture) to identify which size each bolt, 2) the markings are also imprinted in raised numbers on the case itself - albeit not nearly as clear as on the picture on the product page - there is no color differentiation between the case and the raised size markings- I will fix this by running a dry brush of white paint over them and 3) they are laser-etched on each bolt. The kit comes with a both metric and standard size bolt removers and what I like is that they are sorted by size and not separated, which in my mind makes a lot more sense since in my world, standard and metric are everywhere and I'm usually guessing by eye what size I need, then trial and error.They also included a hex adapter and even a metal rod to tap out the extracted bolt or nut from the extractor body once removed. The case is sturdy, and easy to open and close. The yellow toggle that slides back and forth doesn't seem like it will last forever as it is already a bit wobbly, but like I said, this is not a top of the line tool kit - and the price reflects that. It is a fair price for a kit that mostly will be sitting in a drawer, but when needed, should do the work it is intended for. I hope this review and pictures have been helpful.
