Max Cov Shirt

Apparently, I should have gotten a size up, as it is hard to get on and off. Even though I used there sizing chart. Unfortunate!

I use it for SCA heavy combat, its a little spendy. And really hard to get off if you’re been fighting for awhile in it. Think of the old Chinese finger traps. It protects well, moves well, fits well, it’s REALLY comfortable especially after it warms up some. Most of the time I can’t even tell it’s there under my chain mail.If you run chain mail in the SCA I highly suggest this purchase. Yeah it’s expensive but not as expensive as a ruptured kidney. I personally wouldn’t invest in anything less.

Got this for my son who plays football. He says it is the best of anything he has tried. Has been durable and held up over many washes.

I bought Zoom bangs for use in the SCA Heavy fighting in 2011. I fight in society minimums so this shirt was what stood between me and a lot of pain. First thing is that it works for what is was designed for. Unfortunately I got mine before they started sewing the padding in place so, over the years the padding has come loose from the shirt while trying to take it off and, after the occasional washing. the padding has stood up well to the impacts I have taken, the only burst pad I have had was caused by a non SCA incident (dropped a sledgehammer on it.). I will be getting another set in the near future to replace. However for the price point I am hoping that the Padding situation has been resolved.

Good for SCA use. Since the company's move the prices have gone up, but the quality is not quite as good as it was before. Still- these are ESSENTIAL items if you are to fight Heavy Rattan in anything under plate mail. For fighters in Leather, you need this protection. I use their knee pads, which work well. Threads are unraveling however and I should burn them (quality control has slipped a bit). Prices are high, but they DO prevent injury so decide what that means to you.

Paid $210+ shipping.Sizing: Order up a size. I'm a medium for t-shirts, fitted and compression. The medium of this zoombang was so small I could not even get it over my shoulders.Actual protection. This item was purchased to be worn under my SCA armor to reduce felt impact of the whacks of the swords. The problem I had with this shirt was the foam cells were kind of 'memory foam like' in that once they got hit and got flattened, they didn't return to their nice rectangular shape. I'll admit this shirt looks cool but as far as protection vs. the price, I would not buy this product again and I cannot recommend it to a friend. Regular EVA foam does the same job but actually weighs less than this. I found that using blue camp pad foam sold at walmart is even better than this 'high tech' shirt.I ended up returning this product and purchasing a gambeson instead (padded linen jacket) for half the price.This was not sold through Amazon. I had to pay shipping both ways. Be aware when purchasing.Update 4/26:Finally got my money refunded from this vendor. I had returned this product on 3/26. Lucky I sent it with a tracking number and proved to Amazon that the seller got it and was not refunding me the purchase. It took a while to resolve the A to Z claim with amazon but with the proof that it was sent AND rcvd by zoombang, I got my purchase price refunded. (Did not get shipping refunded).Finaly advice: DO not purchase from this vendor. if you do purchase and are unhappy with product and attempt to return...when you run into difficulties remember my review. You were warned and ignored it.
