These dots are oversize. They are supposed to be 6mm, so I ordered a 6mm bradpoint bit to install them with. The new bit mics exactly 6mm, and the dots mic .004" larger. They will not fit into a 6mm hole, and will have to be filed or sanded down in order to work - using side pressure while rotating the bit by hand in the hole is not getting it done. I drilled a test hole with a 1/4" bit and the hole was too large. I contacted the seller and their response was to tell me to return them, (after I told them that I didn't have time to return them) and they offered no compensation for their out of spec product. The quality and color of the abalone isn't horrible - about 6 dots didn't have much color, but one dot out of the 20 had pinholes and could not be used. So, if you're in a time crunch and need them right now, and willing to spend a couple of hours filing or sanding them down, these dots may be for you. I'll get mine from another source next time.
