Replaced my bottom bracket and was surprised when my original BB tool didn't work. It can be difficult figuring out exactly what you need searching the internet but have multiple adapters helped. The adapter that worked for me fit snuggly on the tool and worked with no issues.

I recently got another bike and it has a Shimano drivetrain while my other bike has SRAM. I wanted to reduce the amount of separate tools needed for each brand, to have less clutter. Well this tool really helped there. It combines several tools into one and it works well. The only cons I can think of are it doesn't really have a way to keep all the little attachments etc. together on the tool. So there's a chance they can get lost or separated if you're not diligent about storing them together. Lastly the metal itself could be a little thicker to give it more of a truly high quality, built to last feeling.

I own several bikes including a Street Bike Jumper, An EBike, A Mountain Bike and a Unicycle. This has plastic pieces that make it so it can be used on all four of my bikes. The rubber coating makes it easy to keep my grip on it and get the cranks good and tight. Great tool to add to my chest.

I wasn't expecting this to be as heavy duty as it is. It's about 3mm thick and plenty strong for removing the bottom bracket fasteners. The adapters included with it should hold up plenty well as they seem to be nylon. The tool is far larger than I was expecting but that's great for leverage. It worked great on my 2002 Specialized Hardrock to remove the BB nut so I could convert it over to an e-bike. This should work for me for just about any bike I get.

By way of background we have 13 bikes in our personal fleet (one less than we need of course) and a multiplicity of different bottom brackets. I have always done my own bike setup and maintenance, and am very comfortable with most installation, repair, amd maintenance tasks. Most of my tools are Park Tools, and so I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of the GEWAGE Bottom Bracket Tool. I am very impressed by the versatility of the tool, as it comes with different alloy steel BB fitment on each end (for Shimano, and for FSA/GXP on the other), and I am impressed by the initial quality (can't comment on longevity). It also comes with plastic inserts that fit into the Shimano Hollowtech end that enable to tool to be used on BB-R60 and BB-9000 Shimano bottom brackets. I removed and installed 3 different bottom brackets and found that the tool performed very well, no issues. I am not sure that the plastic inserts are the best choice for bike shop use -- they may wear our prematurely -- but for a home mechanic they are fine.

This is a decently made bottom bracket tool. It's sturdy and the edges aren't too sharp, potentially causing damage. The tool is large enough that you can get good leverage and it comes with several adapters. At a price point of under $20 this tool is a good deal.

This Hollowtech II bottom bracket tool feels solid and sturdy. It has a sintered, bead-blasted finish and comes with a heavy rubber handle to protect your hands from sharp edges. The wrench feels substantial, and I don't think it’s stamped—it seems more likely to be forged. For extra leverage, I’ve placed a rag over the curved end, and there was no flexing at all. It also comes with inserts to fit four different sizes, making it versatile. I used it to remove the bottom bracket on my Specialized bike, and while I don’t do this often, it’s great to have in my toolbox without spending a lot. Definitely worth buying!
