I put this in the bow of my fishing boat to hold the screen for my depth finder. I had it direct mounted prior but hardly used as it was hard to see and could only tilt up so far and was always are to see. This are allows me to have it exactly where I need it to see with sun and standing or sitting. Hold tight when running in waves and has a nice tight fit. Highly Recommend for mobility.
