it's a big pan that catches oil well. based on my aim, it pours well too.

This thing is about the worst you can have for a drain pan. The picture shows that lip on the edge and so you'd think you can pour out the oil it's holding, but you can't. No matter what speed, what tilt angle, whether you pinch the side handles in toward each other or stretch them, you're going to end up spilling tons of oil all over the place.Don't waste your money, buy something that doesn't spill everywhere.

If I could have given it zero stars, or if it wasn't so cheap that it would justify the time to return it, I would have. I used it once for oil and it creates a very very messy pour, even going at the slowest speed possible. Got oil everywhere and then had to just laugh it off because you really do get what you pay for. Threw this piece of garbage out the next morning. Avoid!

I have used this now for both oil and anti freeze, and I wanted a pan to collect dirty fluids so I could pour them into plastic containers to recycle. But this pan really was a disappointment for me in the pour department. The plastic pour spout was engineered by an idiot. If you tip it too meekly as you pour then the fluids, instead of flowing out of the spout into your waiting receptacle, it dribbles over the spout then back down the side of the pan and then flows down nicely onto the ground or on the body of the container you are trying to pour into. So, if you tip it at a higher angle to try to speed the flow of oil out of the pan so it doesn't drip down the side, then the oil gushes over the channel and comes down in an unfocused waterfall unaffected by the spout. Lose - lose situation. The flaw is that the area of the spout where the oil flows out of is too thick, it's like 3/8 inch wide when it should be like 1/16 inch wide plastic at that point. I still use it, but now I always have to use a funnel and even then it is still a mess. I will probably throw this one away at some point but my big maintenance weekend is over now and I will not need one for awhile so I will hang on to this to use in an emergency. Don't buy it. Go to walmart instead, theirs are better.

Works as advertised-- a technological marvel. There, now stop asking me to review this.

HOLY COW IT'S A SHORT PLASTIC BUCKET. Seriously, there's not a whole lot to say about it. It's pretty solid, holds stuff, etc. Given the choice, I'd buy it again.

Does the job but the lip to pour out fluid could be better designed.

What can I say, its an oil pan that does its job but I do have a serious complaint about how you empty this thing. The whole tip at the end does absolutely nothing. I mean if you pour slow enough where it doesn't overflow through the rest of the pan then it will drop down to the bottom of the pan and drop from there making a mess, but if you go too fast then there is no accuracy in your pouring so that also makes a mess. I only did 2 oil changes so maybe with more practice I'll figure out the exact speed to pour but until then... I can't give this 5 stars
