I bought these for my 2006 Pontiac Vibe to fix a clunk (which turns out is a strut top mount). I am a DIYer, and this was easy enough with the right tools. The manual states that you need remove the subframe, but you don't actually have to. I used silicone paste to lubricate the bushings. They're just like the OE bushings.

I don't generally pay as much attention to maintaining my suspension as I do to maintaining my engine. But, after 150K miles on my 2008 Matrix I decided it was time to replace the sway bar bushings and endlinks (ACDelco 46G0350A). Getting to the bushing brackets was the hardest part of this job. Only about 1.5" of clearance between the rear bracket bolts and the floor pan. A ratcheting, box-end wrench set is a must for this task. These bushings fit perfectly and were almost identical to the OEM bushings (except the originals had shrunk somewhat). Handling was noticeably better while cornering and while cruising at highway speed. Also reduced road noise a bit. Very happy with the results. Last year I did the front struts (KYB with bearing plates and springs), front bearings (Timken) which were both starting to get noisy. All I have left is ball joints, tie rod ends, and possibly lower control arms to get the front end back to like-new.I'd also like to mention that I upgraded the factory rear sway bar to a 24MM Progress bar (about a week after replacing the bushings and endlinks) and that made an incredible difference in handling. Body roll was virtually eliminated (I drive quickly, but not aggressively). I highly recommend upgrading your rear sway bar (TRD or Progress), even for a daily driver/commuter car like mine. I spend a lot of time on busy interstates and winding country roads and I now feel much safer with a car that is more stable and consistent. Quality aftermarket sway bars can be found online for about $150-$200. From the research I've done, a stiffer rear sway bar is the single best handling upgrade (for the money) for a stock Corolla/Matrix/Vibe chassis. It's certainly made me a believer.

I installed these bushings with the on my 2005 Matrix. Be sure to hit the bolts that clamp the bushing with WD40 or Liquid Wrench the day before make sure it thoroughly penetrates. I hit the bolts twice on two consecutive days and they came off easy. Also use on all bushing contact points to prevent unwanted squeaks and noises. Also clean the bolts when you reinsert them and use a dab of threadlocker to make sure they stay put. I noticed that original passenger bushing slit was facing forward and the original drivers bushing slit was facing towards the rear. So I installed my new bushing exactly the way the originals were facing.It took me about two hours. It may take you less if you have a hydraulic jack and a 12mm swivel head ratchet wrench. I used a sissor jack and a regular 12mm wrench. I took my Matrix for a test drive and I noticed less vibration in the engine bay and no noises or squeaks.

I had a knock coming from my front drivers side suspension and believed it was the common bushing or endlink problem that seems to plague these cars. I ordered the ACDelco bushings with the Mevotech 80230 sway bar endlink. The original bushings on the 2003 Corolla are a huge PITA to get out. It doesnt require you to remove any difficult pieces however, the bushings sit on top the subframe instead of being bolted to the bottom of the subframe like I usually see on cars. I was able to get the bushing housing out using a 12mm wrench through the wheel well.These bushings are very high quality and fit the sway bar and the housing very well. When installed into the stock housing and bolted back to the subframe, it makes a very snug fit and quality feel. No play in the sway bar either.I would recommend these to anyone who needs to replace the sway bar bushings on their Toyota. I did the endlinks at the same time just so I didnt have to do it again down the road. Quality product. Decent price. These are a bit more expensive than some budget brands but I like to play it safe with parts that are difficult to take out. You dont want to go through all that work to replace the bushings and then have them fail again.These guys fit the bill perfectly.
