The walkie talkies are well built, our issue was the lack of instructions. It came with a very small “User Manual”, but no real instructions on how to use them. The manual shows the buttons and below that a list of what each button does, but why not add a step by step list of instructions? We got it working, but it took time figuring it out. They don’t work as soon as you turn them on, once we heard a voice (built in) then they were ready to use. Would be nice with instructions talking about step by step usage. There are no YouTube videos on how to operate them, only quick little videos about the radios themselves. There is no phone number for customer service. You can’t message the company directly on FB. There is a FB profile/page that seems to be a persons name, so I messaged that, and never got a reply. They have a code on the box that you can pull up info using your phone camera, but it just seemed to have info on if you use multiple radios for a business and want to add or delete users. We will try these out for a couple of weeks to see how they do. I may be sending them back if they don’t work for us.

Tried multiple SIM cards and couldn’t get the device to connect properly. Poor instructions and support.

As a licensed amateur radio operator for nearly 30years, I must say that the POC system has come a long way. Granted, in a situation when the grid is down (including cell towers), conventional radios will likely be the only option. However, many of the cell carriers have built redundancy into their networks, proving to actually be fairly reliable under certain emergency situations.Now, for these POC radios. I must say that the build quality is exceptional. I'm amazed that anyone can provide such a well built product and one year's worth of coverage for such a reasonable price. I haven't had a chance to thoroughly test it out in marginal areas, but from what I've seen in relation to signal strength, connectivity, and audio clarity, the Carrborg units are outstanding. The receivers/antennas on these units seem to be quite sensitive and consistently indicate a stronger signal strength than my cell phone (both on the same carrier). I'm not sure what the RF output is rated at, but they have no problem getting the signal to the repeaters.Will report back with a follow-up after I return from a hiking trip to an area that I can barely get a signal on my cellphone to see how these compare. In the meantime, even though I'm semi-retired, I might just consider opening up a comms storefront and selling these devises. Great job Carrborg and great service!

These checked off every need I had for them. Number one they are pretty tough, I’ve dropped mine multiple times waist high right onto the concrete. It didn’t even scratch it lol in any case these are not phone replacements but rather instant communication radios just push the button and talk. And they work great. They use the LTE network just like a cell phone. My wife and I love chatting on these between us and are boys. It just adds a little extra peace of mind. And I’m buying more soon!

Bought 2 pairs that needed pairing. Contacted manufacturer and they set them up to all work together in one day. Tested them while driving at a distance of 41 miles in heavy traffic, through the city to our hilly county and the signal remainedclear and Never Dropped Out! These things are Amazing! Works as advertised!
