This material is great! Like previous reviews state, it is truly a 4-ply pickguard where the top layer is Tortoise Celluloid film. It looks really nice and its quality far exceeds the price you pay.

You carefully find that it has two layers of transparent protective film, which is really great

The Zhrmzhg 9.5x12 Inch Blank Guitar Pickguard arrived economically packaged in a plastic bag and came in good shape. The pickguard is basic but thick and useful. I found the pickguard was fairly easy to cut (via jigsaw, definitely not scissors), file and sand. Overall a nice piece of plastic for your guitar projects.

This is a PVC plastic laminate sheet, with a white/black/white lamination, to use for creating a fingerboard for a guitar or bass. The topside is a snow white color as is the bottom layer. In the middle layer is a jet black color. I got this for my next build which will be an electric bass guitar. The topside is protected by a clear plastic sheet that you leave in place until it is installed to protect the surface. It is about 2.5mm thick total. Each layer appears to be equal in thickness. The length is about 12.5 inches and width is about 9.5 inches. It is firm and fairly stiff, but will flex a bit. I usually gut this material with a coping saw, scrollsaw, or bandsaw. Pretty much any woodworking tools can be used to cut and shape it. A bevel around the edge will show off the laminate colors. Small/fine tooth saws seem to work the best for me as they cut without generating too much heat. This seems to be a good value for the price.
