If you're a serious have-your-own-fully-kitted-workshop type capital-C-Carpenter these might be to amateurish for you, idk, but I'm not that kind of person and I think these are awesome. I have another set of clamps that I swiped from my late father's garage and I'll tell you, I've invented some new cusswords trying to get *those* things to do what I wanted them to do. These Grenpro clamps are so much easier to work with it's not even funny - I think I'm putting my dad's old clamps out for the next yard sale.I'm in the middle of several "woodworking" projects - just little piddling things, trying to press some bamboo things back into shape, refinishing two old dressers, stuff like that, and these have been SO helpful. Smooth mechanisms, no twisting or unexpected movements, no loosening overnight. And at the current price point of ~$40, it's a pretty decent value. I would have happily traded the two spring claims for two more 12" clamps, so I'll be looking for a set of longer clamps soon because my next project will need them.5 stars - would absolutely order again and would recommend to anyone.Full item name: 8-Pack Bar Clamps for Woodworking, 12" and 6" Bar Clamps, Working Clamp Sets, Quick-Change F Clamps, 150 LBS Load Limit

GRENPRO 8-Pack Bar Clamps for Woodworking --- If your a woodworker there's two things your for sure familiar with when it comes to clamps. The first is anytime they're mentioned its said "You can never have enough wood clamps" ...which pretty much also seems to be true. The second is they all fit in one of three price brackets. Name brand that are stupid high and priced mostly for their name. Then there's economy clamps sold at a super deal but bend, twist or break at least by the third use but often first or second. And finally the third, the good value clamps like these. Good solid clamps that last and work fine. Not dirt cheap but don't require a second mortgage. That's what these are. Good clamps at a reasonable price, that aren't the most popular brand but offer the best value by far. Seem to be good quality and on par with but cheaper than something like Irwin or DeWalt, like I've been using for years. And definitely much cheaper than Jorgensen, Bessey, Jet and others that do the same job for crazy prices. Also a nice feature these have is a push button release that makes it quick and easy to swap ends on the fixed half to make it a spreader. Most of them swap to spreaders but most aren't as quick and convenient to convert as these.Good Clamps.. 5-Stars

I have owned a couple different plastic carpentry clamps and they have never worked well or lasted very long. These I must say are vastly improved over those old clamps, in several ways. First is the metal bars. Instead of just a bar, they are in the form of an "I" Beam, which makes them as strong as a thicker bar, but much lighter. They are also hardened steel which gives them even more strength. The biggest problem with older clamps, was they were made with softer plastic and would bend when squeezing with more pressure. These are made with a much stiffer, harder plastic and can sustain substantial pressure without deforming. The last issue that they fixed was the soft plastic was also used in the mechanism that locked the position and held the pressure. Those would always slip and never stay tight. These use another hardened steel bracket to lock it in place and is also the release lever. The only issue with the set is they should have provided more longer clamps.
