This unusual novelty rug has a very smooth upper side with well-stitched edges, whilst the reverse has an effective anti-slip texture. However there are two things not stated which would make a huge difference. It is not clear to me whether this rug is or is not machine washable, so I have to assume it is not. And unlike other 'classroom' rugs, no fire safety certificates are named or shown. The latter is the more important matter. If I were made aware of a fire safety certificate, I would give this five stars. On the assumption none is shown because none has been acquired, I can only give this four stars.
