This is really a great set. It is very black ink and has a solid coloring area. There are three flexible brush stroke pens, and three solid angled nib pens. Honestly, I've bought a lot of calligraphy pens over the years, and I have to say that I think this is the best value for a really good set of pens. I've used them for a few projects so far and I have yet to see any of the ink coverage go down like some pens do if the ink runs low or the nib gets worn. For me, they are all still working like new. This would be a fantastic set for a young person just learning calligraphy, whether copper-plate, medieval, or modern brush. I'm very impressed.

I absolutely love these pens, they are amazing to write with and it makes my hand writing look really fancy. Each pen has different size tips so it makes writing really fun.

These work pretty well. I will say though that if you are planning on using these on thin paper such as Bible pages or printing paper, they are going to bleed through. As long as it is thicker paper they work good and seem to be pretty good quality.

I go through tons of micron-style pigment markers. Whenever I see that I can try a new brand I grab them. These are really excellent, and they are advertised as calligraphy pens but everything about them says pigment marker, and they are delightful to use for line art.I don’t understand the tips though, I was very pleasantly surprised. The ones that say they are brush tips are much firmer than most marker brush tips, almost like a plastic nib that flexes. They are awesome to work with! They don’t give the millimeter size for the nibs but come in S, M, and L. I estimate the small to be right at the 1.0 mm mark if you were using regular hard tips.The other three markers are very small chisel tips and they are great to work with also.The only reason I’m taking one star off is they are not strictly waterproof. I drew some lines in the enclosed pictures and went over them once with an acrylic marker and you can see that it’s smeared even though I let the black lines dry. That means you can’t really use them for multimedia.But for calligraphy with no wash over them that would be great. I will buy these again. But I will know not to use them if I have any other media that are wet.The pens really feel good in my hand and are sharp looking. They are a black matte soft feeling plastic with metallic silver writing.
