This tripod can move a mounted camera to point in just about any direction you might need to set up a shot. You may need to spend a little time exploring the variety of adjustments and movements to see how you can set up your camera. There is a small manual that shows all the adjustments, but you will need to spend some time with it. The red buttons on the side of each leg, if the bottom is pushed toward the center of the tripod, will allow you to adjust the angle of the leg by engaging a detent next to the red button. I found the center pole required some ‘convincing’ to slide into the top holder for the first time (the plastic inside was a bit snug). Once done, it slides easily enough, allowing up and down adjustment. There is also a bubble level in all three dimensions, so that you can level and restore an adjustment to a previous position. You can unscrew one of the legs to create a monopod out of it. I worked as a photojournalist many years ago, and a monopod would have been quite useful to steady the camera for a long exposure, in a location where a tripod might be impractical. If you are adjusting the tripod legs, you will find that leaving the smallest leg closed will provide you with the most stable setup and keep the camera at about eye-level. You can shoot from below a subject by shortening the legs and pointing the camera upward. The tripod is reasonably light and comes with a nylon case to carry it along with its accessories. If you want to shoot with the camera extended at a 90-degree angle by extending the center column (horizontal to the ground), you can weight the tripod center by attaching a bag to the hook at the center of the tripod. You can use a cloth or plastic shopping bag with handles, and put one or two water bottles in the bag to provide weight. It is reasonably priced and a necessity for any serious photographer.

Comparing this to my expensive Manfrotto tripod, this tripod does almost the same job, AND, it comes PACKED will all the things I want to see in a tri-pod. ❤️🔥 Tons of value here as you would usually buy these pieces separately in a lot of cases. Well worth the money, especially if just starting out.USES🖼️ The extension arm unlocks the ability to set your angle of pivot directly over the point of rotation which you need for professional panoramic photography.🌃 Holds up my heavy astronomy binoculars well.🖼️ Portable and stable enough for professional photography with my D100 and my heaviest glass. 💪Here's what this tripod does right:✅ Light weight aluminum with multi collapse legs means I can use this as my travel tripod. It collapses up pretty small.✅ It has a weigh-down hook. You can sandbag this guy for stability. So many tripods don't come with this essential feature.✅ Legs can be unlocked to go to extreme angles. This is great for when you need to be in a tight space, up a wall, or any number of strange angles for your shot.✅ This has a convertable neck. This innovation is next-level. And really adds so much more to your flexibility in angles.✅ Ball head means very quick adjustment to any angle you can find. This is a must in my book.✅ Very solid hot-shoe release. This is another must-have in my book.☑️ The hot-shoe does not finger-tighten well using the little ring so you'll want to use a screwdriver (better yet, just carry a quarter which works great) to tighten down the shoe. This is a minor point.✅ This tripod has line levels all over the place. So nice to not have to carry these as separate items. Super-handy✅ Swivel head has it's own knob color and measuring marks which is great for quickly identifying which knob does what.☑️ The provided phone holder clamp is cheap and won't hold phones that are very thick.✅ Comes with both rough and flat ground feet adapters, and a carrying case.If there are any changes in this tripod's quality, I'll report back in. 🤞 I hope you found my pictures and notes useful! Be well! ❤️🔥

This is a great tripod for someone who is starting out and wants something more than the basic tripod.Pros:Horizontal center column with a security tab to keep the column from sliding out unless the quick release button is pushed. Great for overhead or low angle shooting. The leg with the foam handle unscrews to become a monopod. Max height is actually 52.5" not 53".The center column's ball head connection unscrews to reveal a flip screw to change from 3/8 to 1/4 without the need of adapters.Weight hook is side mounted instead of underneath. Nice to counter a camera at max horizontal extension.Mostly aluminum build.Easy to use. I love how convenient it is to move from horizontal and back to regular mode.Collapsing the center column and folding the ball head allows the whole thing to fit in the bag without disassembling.Cons:The bottom half (two sections) of the legs rattle a bit. They appear to fit looser than the top to sections. The knobs are plastic but understandable at this cost. Unlike their normal tripod the ball head is aluminum except for the knobs. The regular tripod had a ball head and camera plate that were also plastic. The ball head plate had a grub screw that was only one thread turned in, and fell out. I can't find any matching receiver hole on this included ball head or any of my 6 others from different brands. All in all, well worth it and a great first tripod that will allow a few more shots.
