It gets the job done but it’s heavy and inconvenient to use. Would have preferred a plain old fashioned stopper which wasn’t available, this just seems over-engineered.

This simple product does one thing and does it perfectly. It is well made and just works--filters or plugs the kitchen drain with a simple toggle button. This is a simple problem, but none of the other drain filter/stoppers in my hardware store worked at all, and cleaning the sink was a continual pain. Solving this one simple problem made me like cooking again.

Bought this to replace the cheap $3 plastic ones. 4 of them broke last year. This is a drop in and the wife loves it. Easier to stopper/unstopper and clean.

This combined strainer/drain plug is sturdily constructed with stainless steel, brass and silicone rubber gaskets.The valve push button has smooth positive action and the drain seal is excellent, easily holding a sink full of water overnight with little or no leakage.These are my new favorite solution for kitchen sink use, easily beating out the old style removable basket type drain plugs in ease of use, as well as plug sealing. It's really a great product!I'd suggest taking these out of their drain wells every week or so, to clean off the gunk that gets trapped between the strainer and the drain, since if you wait too long it can get pretty gross ...which is really the only down-side to this design.I suppose there are sink drains that these wouldn't seal to perfectly, but they fit my no-name kitchen sink and drains snugly, making a leak free seal, yet still they're easily removed for cleaning.

This works perfectly and is so easy to use and clean! The strainer basket is a little bit on the small size though. I would buy again.
