These dog storage containers are a must-have for any pet owner who is traveling. I used to always pack food for my dog in ziplock bags, but these containers are much more durable and easier to travel with (and I like that they are reusable). These containers are easy to carry, they keep food fresh, and they are collapse down when not in use, or when only partially full. The containers have a zipper but most of the airtight feature comes from folding the bag over on itself (similar to a dry bag). I was able to fit 38 1-cup scoops of kibble into one container (this measured out to 9 lbs on my scale). When packed this full, the bag is able to zipper but there isn't enough room to fold the bag over to produce the full airlocking effect. I found that the bag comfortably fits 30 1-cup scoops of kibble (measuring 7 lbs) in order to have room to fold the bag over itself enough to produce the airtight effect. The collapsible bowl was a nice addition, although it is quite small and would be best for a dog

A few years ago we took our golden retriever on a one week vacation with a bag of food - the bag was from another manufacturer. Our dog was exercising more and needed more food than normal. So we ran out of food. We could not find a place to buy his regular food, so he had to change food. This threw his system off.These bags will easily hold more than enough food for a week long trip. We now have 2 dogs - so we need two bags.I love the size of the bags. They are lined with a waterproof material, so the dry kibble will not be spoiled by water leaking onto the bag.I wish I had found these bags sooner.
