No reinvention of the wheel here. These are solid pencil sharpeners at a reasonable price. The top fits snuggly into the shavings catcher. I’ve bought other ones like this, and it was loose and fell apart. This one was nice and snug, no concerns about opening up and spilling in the pencil bag or purse. Great option to outfit your kids and then donate the rest to the class.

I am very pleasantly surprised with the quality of these Dual Hole Manual Pencil Sharpeners. They came well packaged and secured in their box and come in four bright, pretty colors. They are the normal size of most hand-held school sharpeners and feature two size options for sharpening.The best feature of these sharpeners is the lid, it makes storing the sharpener so convenient! No more shavings or lead dust floating around in my bag because they slipped out of the top holes! I use these to sharpen my large pencils, which are thicker than normal #2 pencils. They fit perfectly in the large hole and don’t break the lead off in chunks.All of the shavings are contained in the bottom and are easily emptied by popping the whole top off. Another problem most sharpeners have is that the top comes off while being stored. While they’re not hard to open, the top of these sharpeners don’t slip off of the container on their own.The amount you get for the price is such a bargain. These would be great for a classroom or anyone who works a lot with pencils or colored pencils for art. I really enjoy how convenient these are and how well they sharpen. Who doesn’t love a freshly sharpened pencil?
