I installed the new gel-free 8.4″ UConnect screen (LA084X01 replacement) in my 2018 Jeep, and it’s been outstanding. The touchscreen is ultra-responsive—no lag or ghost touches—and the display is crisp with vivid colors, even under bright sun. The plug-and-play setup took me about 30 minutes, and the install videos were spot-on helpful. Post-install, it works flawlessly—CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, controls—all just as before but smoother and more reliable. This was a cost-effective upgrade that feels even better than OEM. I recently purchased the 8.4” UConnect 4C UAQ on-screen navigation system, which is perfectly compatible with my Dodge RAM model, and the experience has been fantastic! Being the latest 2025 upgrade model with full hardware iteration, it runs 50% faster than the old model, boots in seconds without lag, and first and foremost, the interface of this radio navigation is very intuitive and easy to use, allowing me to focus more on the road and less on distracting myself from looking for features while driving. The updated screen display is excellent, with vibrant and responsive colors, and the GPS navigation is extremely accurate and reassuring, especially when guiding me through complicated roads.The installation process was also very smooth, with the supplied installation tool making the whole replacement a lot easier, fitting perfectly into my car's interior space with no gaps at all. Additionally, the sound quality has improved significantly and is very clear whether you are listening to music or answering a phone call.
