If I plan on wearing a pin on a jacket or clothing, or on a bag, this TYPE of backing is the only backing I trust to keep pins in place. This type is the only type that keeps them secure against all sorts of stress and the expense of them is worth lowering the risk of losing pins, especially unique and hard to replace pins.Fiddly to assemble and use, but pretty easy to figure out.

20 Pcs Pin Keepers Pin Locks by PurYupearlThis set of pin keepers locks are easy to use. They are to lock your enamel pins, the kind with tacks on the backs, on your garment or project. They have held for several years. I find them easy to use and not visible on your clothing when used. The locks won’t damage your fabric anymore than the enamel pin tack would. In fact, because the locks hold the pin perfectly, I would say it is better for your fabric or garment because it holds the pin securely and there is no play that makes the tack hole larger. They hold really well and they can be removed easily. This is my second purchase of these because I wanted more, not because they broke or didn’t hold. I recommend these locks because they work, are easy to use and will hold your pins much better than the backs that come with the pins. Actually I suggest your get more than one set because you will want to use it with all your enamel pins.
