Everyone should have a fireproof bag set, even if you have your documents in a safe, as these are good added protection to keep your documents safe. I like that they come in two sizes, which I haven't seen before.

While I can't say that I actually tried to light this bag on fire, it does give me peace of mind knowing this claims to be fireproof and waterproof in the event it got wet from putting a fire out. I'd rather put my documents and items in here just in case there is an emergency rather than leave it in a paper or plastic folder. There's a zipper that fully closes across the top and velcro to securely hold the flap down and provide extra protection. This set comes with two sizes:One larger that can fit documents, an iPad, or slightly larger thingsOne smaller that can store credit cards, keys, or trinketsWould definitely recommend even just as a precaution.

Growing up my dad always had a fireproof box for documents he considered important. When he passed I got the box but it needs a key that I can't find so the lid doesn't really latch. So when I saw these I though it would be a good alternative and I'll keep the documents in these and then inside the fireproof box. So far I've moved birth certificates and house documents including homeowners insurance info there. Also some precious documents of my father's from his army service. Even though he's gone I want to keep it. Now that most photos are in the cloud, there's less loss of things like that. These pouches give me piece of mind. I like that they'll keep out the water too as that goes with fire. I took a lighter to the smaller pouch and tested not only the silver part but the black seams too. It made it hot inside and out but didn't catch fire. I had to know. Assuming no one pours accelerant on my pouches, these should hold up. Having papers safe really saves the day after a fire.

The small pouch is handy for carrying documents while traveling. If you've ever been caught in a storm with your passport in your (not waterproof) pocket, you'll appreciate having a pouch like this to keep most of the water out. The larger bag can easily accommodate the contents of a large manila folder. While this product is very water resistant, it is not waterproof. The zippers are not the seam-seal type you would find on gear that is truly waterproof. I put a tissue in the small pouch and submerged it in water for a bit, and some moisture leaked in. I did not test it for fireproof-ness but I have reservations that the pouch would survive a very hot blaze like a building fire or a torch for an extended period of time. I say this because the piping around the bag doesn't appear to be made of fire-resistant material like the bag itself (or like other name brand fire resistant products I own) and instead it looks like a synthetic fabric piping you'd see on any number of things. For my purposes this product is fine and the price is OK. I would call the product highly water resistant and possibly flame resistant.
