One battery extension arrived and was quickly installed and has been working fine since installation.However, the other one installed at the same time, worked for a few days and then flagged up a camera error and has not worked since.I removed the extension and returned the camera to it’s pre-extension state (ie - working off 2 batteries) and it’s now fine.

Besides the obvious security reason for Blink cameras, I use some Blink cameras to watch the animals around the yard (I live in a rural area). I move the cameras often, sometimes being mounted in odd locations. Given I have a lot of Blink outdoor cameras, two times the battery capacity is a welcome change.Upon opening, I decided to test the lithium batteries to make sure they had a full charge - no problems.To use the extension, you remove the original Blink batteries, place the extension on the camera (pay attention to orientation), then tighten the screw to hold the camera and the extension together.Installing the batteries is straight forward, although one battery wanted to 'pop out', but installing the cover prevents that issue. The cover itself also needs to placed in the correct orientation. The included silicone cover then provides additional protection from the weather. However, it would have been nice if the cover included a lip at the top to help keep rain off the lens.Opening the Blink app, the camera indicated the unit was working with a 'good' battery. While the battery tester indicted the batteries are fine, the current capacity is not listed on the battery, so a bit of an unknown there.The manual, while well written, does not address the proper orientation of the extension and cover. It simply mentions the typical safety concerns - a big fail. If someone wasn't paying attention to assembling, it could cause some people grief.

Everything you need in one hand when it's time to replace the batteries. One feature I really like is that besides the batteries, you're also replacing the silicone cover at the same time. The weather can really destroy these covers fast, so it's vital these stay in good shape to protect the delicate components inside. Fits like OEM.

Vey nice addition to the Blink Outdoor 4 camera. Easy to assemble. The sleeve provides reassurance that water won't get in the seam between the camera and the expasion. The batteries included with my kit wire Nice (brand) Lithium Batteries which are rated at 3000mAh/4500mWh. I will purxahse again if I expand my outdoor camera system.

Solves my problem for my blink 4 outdoor cameras which require a ladder to change batteries. These should make that maintenance chore much less frequent. Nice if you have to mount cameras out of easy reach of mischief!Batteries had full charge on arrival. That's a relief.Silicon covers fit nicely. Should give adequate protection from rain and snow.Covers also don't interfere with sliding the round bases of the cameras into the wall mounts I've purchased.All in all, they are a welcome addition to my camera setup outside.And they come with charged batteries - a real plus!

This is an awesome addition to blink cameras. The instructions aren’t too clear, but you’ll figure it out by looking at the picture. I love having the peace of mind that my camera has extra juice. Very handy for high traffic areas. It comes with all that you need to set it up, including the batteries.
