So of course this is quite a use specific purchase, but for what it's worth, I found it to be a SPOTLESS essentially 100% magnesium plate. I have a CNC use in mind, but it would be great for prototyping or for all kinds of hobbyist activities. Looks great, had no dents or dings, and came in packaged well. Quite satisfied...

I got this for some smaller parts I am working on. The thickness was imporant to me that it is consistent. I have about a 4 sq inch piece and the thickness is perfect to the advertised 1mm. Really happy with this!
