I love tools. I didn't when I was younger, but I've lately embraced the DIY culture and find myself looking for quality tools. Well, less embraced and more forced into it because buying things gets expensive. Building or fixing your own things saves a bundle!What I quickly learned is that cheap tools lead to problems. Either it doesn't do what you need, at which point you're forced to either run to the store, rig something up, or abandon the project. Rigging things can lead to screwing things up, or potentially a dangerous situation. No matter the bad thing that could happen I want to avoid it. Quality tools also make jobs faster, so why skimp?I'm always looking for better tools and found myself in need of drill bits, so I decided to give these a try.The package arrived in a plain box, but everything was present. It comes with the metal case and the bits.First off, I hate these metal cases. They're needlessly large; this set of bits, laid out, is about 1/20 the size of the case. It's a waste, and needlessly takes up tool bag room. I will replace this. The bits themselves are pretty nice. I tested the largest on a 3/4" piece of MDF and it cut through pretty quickly. However, nice as they are, the part that fits into the drill is totally cylindrical; there are no flat edges to help the bit be gripped by the drill. This led to the bit spinning when there was a lot of pressure, which is a pain.Overall these are okay drill bits, but for the cost I would have preferred a better case and ends that were flat for better retention. I can't really recommend, but I won't say they're a bad buy. The choice is yours.

For the price, this is actually a surprisingly nice set of metric bits. I've never owned a metric bit set before, and always just made do with the closets cross-reference size from my standard numbered or lettered size bit set, but these will come in handy to have the proper metric bit size for various metric machining tasks like clearance holes and pilot drilling to tapping. These cut nice and clean with my testing on some mild steel scrap plate.

These are really well made and there is a smooth finish on them, they are sharp and feel very durable. I used them to drill through stainless steel and it made it easy work for what I needed. Good quality drill set!

I wanted a set of metric drill bits and ordered this set. I was hoping for the best but was unsure how well these bits would perform. These bits do come in a nice metal case and the only negative thing I have say is that it is hard to open. It’s still better than being too loose though. I tried a number of the bits on metal and wood and actually received pretty good results. I tried the 1mm thru 3mm bits, 4mm, 6mm, 8mm and 10mm bits. I thought for sure the 1mm and 1.5mm bits were going to break but I took my time and didn’t force a lot of downward pressure on them and they actually drilled fairly quickly and are still intact. I don’t recall ever using such a small drill bit even with my Dremel rotary tool and was impressed with this 1mm bit. All the bits that I listed above worked pretty well. I made 3 holes with each bit in wood and 1/8-inch thick metal and everything went well although the 4mm and 6mm spun loose in the chuck when drilling in the metal but after I tightened them back down, there were no other problems. All the drill bits I tried left a metal burr. These burrs were larger than the ones left by my DeWalt Pilot Point bits or even my Harbor Freight Warrior Cobalt bits. Overall though, I think this is a decent set of drill bits. They are sharp and turned true in the chuck. The resulting holes were round and not triangle or irregular shaped like I have seen in other drill bit sets. I will have to see how well they hold up over time but right now, I am satisfied with this drill bit set.
