These M8 knobs were perfect for what I needed. They give you a way of hand tightening an M8 thread.The plastic is well attached to the thread and I haven't managed to detach any of them yet.The thread is clean and easily mated to an M8 nut.I don't believe these are rated for outdoor and would rust easily.Perfect for what I need, and for £9 at time of review, less than 50p a piece, it works out good value for money.

I’m using these with some aluminum extrusions and a diy camera slider. These serve as brakes for the gantry and locks my camera in place. The plastic knobs are easy to grip and don’t have any sharp edges. Good value and good quantity.

This review is for the M METERXITY Store 6-Lobe Clamping Knobs Grip for Mechanical, Electrical and DIY EquipmentThe thread is as stated, M8 (8mm diameter) and measures 40mm long and seems to be simple bright steel, the 6-pointed star moulded knob is only described as a tough plastic resin, at around 38mm diameter the 6-lobe head allows for a good grip and tightnessIdeal for mechanical clamps where regular adjustments may be required, eg frames, stands, tri-pods, lamps etcAs the thread seems to be bright steel, this knob would be unsuitable for outdoor, but plenty of uses indoorWith the larger 8mm thread, these will allow a greater tightening forceI've not got a specific use for this item just yet and so is currently in my knobs-and-bobs box awaiting a projectThe bag consists of 10 knobs, a little bigger than a 50p pieceAt the current price of £9.99 for 10 pieces, this is a good price for a well manufactured knob and well recommended
