I bought this (it was used, too) to help sprout seeds, but I ended up using it to make a warming box for a sick kitten (I put it around the outside edge of the box so it didn't come in contact with her) and I also used it during the winter to keep my kombucha warm enough to keep fermenting.

Keeps it warm without getting too hot. I’d be nice if it had a dial for heat preference, but for the price, it’s worth it. I actually use for my ant farm, and it works good for that.

Works great, no issues. Just plug in and it warms up. Doesn’t seem to get too hot and my seedlings were very happy.

The mat heats to 10-20 degrees higher than whatever the surrounding temperature. There is no way to adjust this. I wanted to get my seeds to 70 degrees but couldn’t adjust so unless it’s 50 degrees this doesn’t work as well as I’d like.
