These are nice and thick however, there is some type of slick coating or slippery powder on them, it's very difficult to do any exercises that require traction. Lunges, push-ups, planks, all are challenging because your feet slip.

I love the product. It was for my mom. She does Zoom exercise classes and yoga classes so it was nice to put it on top of the tile, which is hard. My only caution, is that it made the tile super slippery! But after a few cleanings I was able to remove whatever was making the tile slippery. I wrapped the bottom in a sheet and placed a rug on top. I really appreciate the thickness, so as to prevent my mom from any discomfort or injury. Just a clarification, the mat itself is not slippery, but if you put it on top of tile then store it away or move it, the place where it was before becomes very slippery. Thankfully no one slipped, I was sliding for a while though. Cleaning the area solved it pretty fast.

This mat is thick and cushiony. I use it in my garage for my work out room. I do not feel the hardness of the cement under my feet or hands. I do not care for the texture as they are not smooth on either side. I would have liked to have a smooth side. Easy to assemble and great price.

Though this is a thicker mat it lacks grip. As a result the potential to slip and loose your footing is a little too high. Don't bother trying to plank or do push-ups
