Our drain plugs are proudly MADE IN THE USA from the Stainless Steel bar stock, the CNC machine that cuts our plug, right down to the hands of the VOTEX crew that craft each individual drain plug. We construct our plugs with the utmost pride and care in our home state of Wisconsin, ensuring that we supply plugs that are manufactured with high quality Stainless Steel (not pot metal) that will last for countless years to come. Included is an aluminum crush washer also made in the USA.
What makes our plug unique outside its flawless craftsmanship and top-notch materials is the heart of it, a HIGH TEMPERATURE NEODYMIUM MAGNET. Our magnet is rated to function in high-temperatures up to 150°C or 302°F while still extracting unwanted ferrous particles from your engine. A quality motor oil will tolerate oil temperatures up to 250 degrees, breaking down once you reach 275 degrees. The operating temperature for oil is between 194 and 230°F, so our magnet works in temperatures far past that of engine oil.
Neodymium magnets are one of the strongest magnets available on the planet, and we use one of the strongest grades available. Our magnet has the strength to hold weights over 2.2 lbs!

Inspect the magnet prior to installation to make sure there is no damage caused from improper handling in transit. When installing our drain plug, it is essential to make sure one consults their owner/repair manual to obtain the proper torque specifications. Crush washers are for one-time use and need to be replaced with every oil change. Note: Check to make sure there is proper clearance for the drain plug by slowly turning over the engine or drive gear by hand making sure there is no contact with internal components. Check your application for usage. The drain plug may differ from the factory OEM drain plug. Install the plug at your discretion.
