Drive by Wire
DBW is a Drive-by-Wire technology that controls the vehicle's acceleration, braking, and steering actions through electronic signals instead of traditional mechanical connections. The cable input curve (also known as the "pedal diagram") can be adjusted as needed to quickly open and add cruise control more easily.
The LS engine, which was earlier on more expensive models, tended to have DBW. By 2004/2005, all vehicles with LS engines were equipped with a throttle-by-wire system. The fifth-generation LT engine also uses DBW.
Cautions
- The inputs can be adjusted to provide better power and economy overall.
- The cable input curve, also known as the "pedal diagram", can be adjusted as needed to open quickly.
- The adjustment of the throttle valve may be slower.
1.Disconnect car battery for safe.
2.Remove air filter and hose.
3.Loosen bolts on throttle bodyand pull it off.
4.Place spacer between the throttlebody and intake manifold.
5.Reassemble air filter and hoseback.
