Steps:
1. Choose the right gear for the electric barrier. If the general capacity is less than 0.01uF, choose x10k gear. 1‑10uF or so, choose X1k gear. Above 47uF, choose x100 block or x 10 block

Since the black test is connected to the positive electrode of the battery in the meter, the black test is connected to the positive electrode of the electrolytic capacitor, and the red test is connected to the negative electrode of the capacitor.
4. A good capacitor performance is that the pointer deflects during detection, and then gradually returns to the mechanical 0 (that is, the resistance is infinite).
5. The deflection of the pointer is related to the electric capacity and the electric blocking position, and the deflection is large when the capacity is large.
6. Pay attention to laws and accumulate data in practice
7. The performance of a capacitor that loses capacity is that the detection pointer does not deflect, and no discharge is required. If the test pen is quickly exchanged, the pointer does not deflect.
8. The performance of the capacitor that has lost part of the capacity is that compared with the standard capacitor, the pointer deflection is not in place. You can use experience or refer to the standard capacitor of the same capacity to determine the maximum amplitude of the pointer swing
